Vinagre 0.4: call for translations

Hi, folks.

I intend to release the 0.4 version of Vinagre (VNC Client) next week.
If you have interest, please, translate it to your language :)

See the stats: http://l10n.gnome.org/module/vinagre

Thank you guys!

Changes in vino (GNOME VNC Server) for 2.22

I’ve just put in vino configuration applet the ability to control settings before “hidden” in gconf:

preferences-general

preferences-advanced

This closes #361891, is listed in our roadmap, and will make a lot of users more happy.

Any comments about such user interface change?

New project: Vinagre - VNC client

Hi, folks. A couple of months ago, i started writing a VNC client for the GNOME desktop, called Vinagre.

Today, after three releases (0.1, 0.2 and 0.3), i think it is usable enough so that i can publish it. Maybe it’s not so stable that deserves a 1.0 version, but we are on the way.

That’s it, please, test it! Some random notes about it:

Useful GNOME RSS Feed

This is a quick post, just to say that i found out a very useful rss feed to add into my liferea:

http://download.gnome.org/LATEST.xml

It shows latest GNOME uploads and their Changelog, try it!

Having fun with man pages

Looking for man pages inside synaptic, i found that interesting package: funny-manpages. It has some man pages for well-known commands, like rm, echo, date, and has some new commands, like baby, party and even rtfm!

For debian based distros, it’s enough to do: apt-get install funny-manpages.

Some man pages available after installation of above package: (try them with man <command>)

date
echo
party
rtfm
xkill
baby
…etc (To show the complete list: dpkg -L funny-manpages)

Have fun!

Sunday is good for:

Daughter

Men: Wash the car
Son

Obs 1: Click to enlarge.
Obs 2: Saturday was good for commit some patches.

something unexpected :)

Programming is being a bit more difficult since last Saturday:

tsclient 0.150 released

It has some fixes and translation updates. See the Changelog for a complete list.

Download and Changelog

PS: This is hopefully the last version before a completely rewritten. I just started a new version more integrated with GNOME, using libvncclient directly instead of just being a frontend to vncviewer.
